Romano (5) battled Elite Squad (8) in the semi-finals of the A2 division Wednesday night. It was a matchup made in heaven as both teams’ offence would wreak havoc as they both dropped basket after basket. At the end, Elite Squad would get the best out of Romano as Romano would go on to squeeze out a 97-94 victory. Chris Nacos, Xander Jean, Mohammed Habbal and Marco Scanlan would all knock down 25, 23, 16 and 14 and be the first to reserve a spot in next week’s final. Elite Squad’s valiant efforts were highlighted by Ibrahima Sylla, Carl Olivier and Thierry Toussaint whose 29, 18 and 13 points were just shy of the win.
